Personality; Nyx is a fairly laid back mare. She often will spend her days just roaming around, just looking. This doesn't mean she's lazy. If need be she will stand up for her herd, or herself, in an instant. She likes to have fun, and spend time with the other horses, even though sometimes she will get into a mood where she just needs to be alone. She has a deep fear of humans, and often has paranoid spells that she will be captured by them. She loves water, and will often spend a lot of her time stomping around in it. She is a pretty basic and normal mare, but she has some memorable moments where she comes out of her shell, and shows just what she can be.

History; Nyx was born a happy baby at the end of April. It was spring, and she grew up nibbling on fresh, green grass. She was quite the bubbly little baby, and she would often leap and jump around with all the other babies in the herd. As Nyx grew up she became slightly more, mature. Her body filled out, and she went from being a bouncy child, to an almost fully matured mare. She still loved traveling about the herd, but this time it was walking, not leaping. Her mother passed away the same year she finally matured. This was like a shot to the heart for Nyx. Her father took it even harder. He would often go around the herd, flirting with all the femmes. Even the lead stallion's mare wasn't safe. When he found out Nyx's father was doing this, he had no choice but to fight him. Nyx's father lost, and was run out of the herd. She hasn't seen or heard from him since. After all of this drama Nyx felt alone and embarrassed in the herd. She longed for somewhere to fit in. So, she went to the lead stallion asking for permission to leave. With disgust, he spat at her and told her to get out, and they didn't need the likes of her around anyway. So she left, and now she is trying to find that place where she actually belongs.

Nyx stamped on the fresh grass softly and picked at it a bit with her teeth. She wasn't in the best of moods today. Looking around, she sighed softly and took some more steps on her way. Nyx felt alone today, even though usually traveling alone wasn't that big of a deal. After leaving her herd she figured that she would be better off alone. She could take care of herself. She watched a butterfly float by in the breeze, just taking it easy. With a hint of disgust in her voice she muttered to the creature.
"You sure can float carefree, don't you want to belong?"
She snorted at the bug. That was one thing, possibly, the only thing that she had ever been interested in. She wanted so terribly bad to just belong. Have a herd where she was welcomed, maybe even a mate, a child perhaps. It angered her that she didn't belong in her old herd. She partially blamed her father, for falling into a bad way like that. Yet, deep down she knew it wasn't his fault she left. She just had to find a place where she, could be...just simply her.
The End.
